Presentation

Introduction

This is the first task of the project. The students will here present their countries, communities, schools, school system and themselves, which also include the teachers. Presentations is done by PowerPoint, video conference and by First Class and the language is of cause English. All work is done in 12 groups in each country. This work is plan to finish in end of January next year.

Individual presentation

Make your own presentation in First Class. You will find how you do in the Swedish manual on page 20 and 22. Your presentation will contain following:

1. Your name.
2. Where you live.
3. Your birth year.
4. Description of your education.
5. Your hobby and your interests.
6. Your favourite football- and Ice Hockey team.
7. A new picture of you.

In December this year we plan a video conference, where everyone will make a short presentation about himself in front of a TV- or a web camera. The purpose is to get a more personal impression of each other. Make also a signature for First Class . A signature is your personal information which include automatically last in your E-mail. The signature will contain your name, address and telephone number.

Groups of presentation

When you make the presentations about your countries you will work in different groups – 12 groups in every country. In Kristinehamn the groups consist of 4 students, 2 from Presterudsgymnasiet and 2 from Brogårdsgymnasiet. In Essen the groups consist of 2 students. Later on we will fusion the groups to 6 students with 2 from every school. The presentations will be made in Power Point (PP) in front of a camera in maximum 5 minutes. Use picture and diagrams to illustrate your text; about six PP-image. The finished ppt-document will be sent to anders.andersson@kristinehamn.se and then linked to this document. Here is the groups and theme:

1. Country Essen, Kristinehamn

Tell about your country in a social, political and historical view. Tell about number of inhabitants, area, political parties and some central persons and cities.

2. Country– tourist view Essen, Kristinehamn

Tell about some famous tourist attractions, as museums and nature sights.

3. County Essen, Kristinehamn

Tell about your county (Värmland respectively Nordrhein-Westfalen) in a social, political and historical view. Tell about number of inhabitants, area, political parties and some central persons and cities.

4. County– tourist view Essen, Kristinehamn

Tell about some famous tourist attractions, as museum, cities and nature sights.

5. Hometown Essen, Kristinehamn

Tell about your town in a social, political and historical view. Tell about number of inhabitants, area, political parties and some central persons and places.

6. Hometown – tourist view Essen, Essen2, Kristinehamn

Tell about some famous tourist attractions, as museum, places and nature sights.

7. Companies Essen, Kristinehamn

Tell about some main companies in your country, county and town. Tell about the structure of the enterprise on the three levels.

8. Your school Essen, Kristinehamn

Tell about your school, number of students and teacher, kind of education, free choice of subjects, student union, associations, premises and restaurant etc.

9. School system – 0 to 6 years Essen, Kristinehamn

Tell about how your country take care of children before school age. Describe different kind of caretaking, percentage in different kind and what children use to learn before school.

10. School system – 6 to 16 years Essen, Kristinehamn

Tell about the ordinary school system, subject, free choice, grades, dinner, demands to be allowed to continue etc.

11. School system – 16 to 19 year Essen, Kristinehamn

Tell about the secondary school (high school), different educations, subject, free choice, grades, dinner, economical subsidies, demands to be allowed to continue, proportion young people who participate etc.
